Terms & Conditions
Last updated July 2026
These terms govern your use of Hormuud Events. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you’re accepting on behalf of an organization, you confirm you can bind it.
1. The service
Hormuud Events lets organizers create events, invite guests, issue QR passes, and check people in at the gate. We provide the platform; you are responsible for your event and your guests.
2. Your account
Keep your credentials safe and your details accurate. You’re responsible for what your team does under your workspace. Enable two-factor authentication for anything sensitive — the option is in Settings.
3. Acceptable use
- Only collect guest data you’re entitled to, and handle it lawfully.
- Don’t use the platform to send spam, or to run events that are illegal or harmful.
- Don’t attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or forge passes.
4. Plans, trials and payment
New workspaces start on a 14-day free trial, no card required. After that, continued use of paid features requires an active subscription, billed yearly. Prices are shown in the console. Mobile-money and card payments are processed by our providers; a payment may be confirmed manually where a provider isn’t automated.
5. Suspension and deletion
We may suspend a workspace for non-payment or a breach of these terms, leaving billing reachable so you can restore access. A deleted workspace is recoverable for a short window, then permanently removed.
6. Your data and content
Your event and guest data are yours. We process them under our Privacy Policy. You grant us only the permissions needed to run the service for you.
7. Availability and liability
We work to keep Hormuud Events reliable but provide it “as is”, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the prior 12 months.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be dated above and surfaced in the console. Questions go to the address below.
